Technology - Good or Bad?

Technology has rapidly transformed our planet in the last 15-20 years. Not too long ago, not many people were able to afford cellphones. Now, remote communication with others is a lynchpin of our society; allows humans to contact each other from almost anywhere on the planet. The Internet is also an integral part of today's society, allowing people from every corner of the planet to share ideas, problems, and resources. Is technological advancement always a positive?

Assignment:

2. Do any additional research to educate yourself about recent technological advances and their impact on society.

3. In your blog, write a 400-500 post about technology. The title of the post will be: Technology - Good or Bad?

Be sure to answer the following questions.

- What positive and negative impact has technology have on our society? Give a few examples and explain.

- What kind of social impact is technology having on people? Give a few examples and explain.

Conclude by explaining whether technological advance is improving or eroding our society.

2. Sign into your blog account and post a comment on this entry; write the URL to your blog.

3. Think of a online social networking tool used today.

4. Create a blog entry based on the social networking, and blog about it. The title of the blog entry will be: First Assignment - Social Networking

It must be 200-300 words, and answer the following questions:

- What is the tool?
- What does this tool allow you to do?
- Do you use it? How often?
- Would your life be changed if this tool was no longer available?
- How you adapt if the tool was not available?
- Include any interesting aspects about the tool, or the impact it has on you or our society.
